Day 1 ~ Welcome to Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport & transfer to Arusha for overnight.
Overnight at Kahawa House on Bed&Breakfast Basis.
Day 2 ~ Discover Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, meet & great with other trip participants and begin your Wildlife & Wilderness program with a short briefing from you guide/driver.
Depart Arusha Town with picnic-lunch box to Tarangire National park for game drives. Following your explorations of this parks varying vegetation.
Overnight at Burunge Tented Logde on Full Board Basis.
Day 3 ~ Tarangire National Park
On your second day of game drives, delve into the medium & tall grasslands of Tarangire as you seak-out the rewardingly diverse range of species in-habitating these secluded plains. From the baobab-dotted bushland, riverine woodlands, seasonal flood plains, rocky hilltop vegetation and deep abyss vegetation, Tarangire National Park has so much to offer.

Day 4 ~ Great Rift Valley to Lake Eyasi
In the early morning, walk to the shores of Lake Burunge before departing to take in the daily ritual of the rural African life. Cross the floor of the Great Rift Valley neighbouring Lake Manyara National Park, en-route to Karatu. Traverse through Mto Wa Mbu or Karatu Town mingling with the villagers at the local market; shopping & bargaining for bolts of cloth, craft and local produce. In the afternoon visit a school (subject to holidays) then drive up the escarpment to Lake Eyasi to arrive at your camp & relax for the evening.

Day 5 ~ Lake Eyasi; Hunting & Gathering
After breakfast depart for the Hadzabe experience; a cross-cultural rendezvous with the nomadic bushmen “Wa Hadzabe”. Spend time participating in the morning routine of their settlement; learning the tribes methods of gathering roots, tubers & wild fruits in the rugged landscapes in-which they inhabit. Observe the hunting techniques still practised by the tribe with bow & arrow; as your local guide interprets & details the traditions of these bushmens’ daily lives.
OPTIONAL: In the afternoon visit the Datoga people, a semi-nomadic pastoralist tribe who migrated into the area seeking rich grazing land many decades ago. To date the Datoga have resisted the cultural influence of neighbouring tribes - their women still wear local fat-treated goatskin gowns & beautify their face & body thru scarification. Learning about their customs is truly fascinating.

Day 6 ~ Lake Eyasi to Karatu
Leave Lake Eyasi to Karatu, in the afternoon choose either a hike to the elephant caves or alternatively enjoy a guided walking tour of the coffee farm plantation.
Overnight at Tloma Lodge, Farmhouse Valley or Ngorongoro Farmhouse on Full Board Basis.
Day 7 ~ Ngorongoro Highlands & Crater
After an early breakfast, drive to the entrance gate of the Nogorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Crater. The lush ecosystem of Ngorongoro Crater offers a large variety of animals due to the permanent availability of vegetation & water. Be on the look-out for the ‘Big Five’ - the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant & buffalo. Return to your lodge for the evening.

Day 8 ~ Discover Olduvai Gorge
En-route to Serengeti National Park, visit one of the world’s & Tanzania’s most important paleoanthropogical sites in furthering our understanding of early human evolution. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979, Olduvai (also known as Oldupai) Gorge is referred to as the ‘cradle of mankind’ bearing some of the earliest signs of human life preserved in volcanic rock. Continue towards a Masaai Village & interact with the local people within their Masaai Boma (home) before heading to your camp for the evening.

Day 9 to 11 ~ Serengeti National Park; A natural wonder
Enjoy three days of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth - the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.Chance the migration as they instinctively vibrate across the seaming endless plains following the seasonal rains. The wonder does not end here; sight an impressive population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds in the park too.
Overnight at Serengeti Kati Kati on Full Board Basis.
Day 12 ~ Kwaheri (departure in swahili)
Enjoy one last game drive in the Serengeti before departing for Arusha by road. Have lunch en-route & arrive in Arusha Town at approximately 5pm. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or your departure point. Kwaheri & end of services.
